I work for (the ONLY) Hookah bar in the state of Alabama and we are looking for a brand of premium shisha to carry. We have received a sample from Fantasia, which proved excellent results, and are currently working to get samples from Fumari. My question is does anyone know how to procure free samples from brands such as Tonic, Potion, Starbuzz…etc…etc… ANY other Shisha brands than Hookah-Hookah or Hookah Freak?

The Hookah was kind enough to send us this tobacco for free to try it out and share our opinions. We always make every effort to review honestly regardless of what means were used to acquire the product. Hookahfina Tobacco is available directly from The Hookah for $15.50 in a 250g tin.

Cut & Composition

The cut of Hookafina hookah tobacco is a medium cut and is very wet, but not dripping like other brands such as Fantasia. The colour of the tobacco is light brown and is not dyed.

The Set-Up

Hookafina Pink Grapefruit was smoked out of a Khalil Mamoon hookah out of both an Alien Mini Phunnel bowl and a Tangiers Small Phunnel bowl with four Chronic Hookah coals, using two at a time on each side.

The Experience

Pink Grapefruit started smoking immediately after the coals were added. After about 4 – 5 puffs and the coals sitting on the bowl for about a minute, large clouds were produced along with adequate flavour. The first side of the bowl smoked for 45 minutes until two more coals were added on the other side and continued to smoke for another 45 minutes. The tobacco in a small phunnel lasted an hour and a half.

The Flavour

The flavour of Pink Grapefruit is not in your face like it would be if you were eating a real grapefruit, but the flavour is not non-existant. although mild, you can taste a sweet grapefruit taste at the back of your tongue. while a real grapefruit is more bitter in real life, this tobacco is sweeter, more candy tasting.

The Insight

Pink Grapefruit is a nice alternative to all the sweet melons and watermelon flavours on the market today. it is very unique, but the flavour is not as powerful as the smell indicates. But, because it is not very intense, it can be smoked fairly often and is a nice addition to anyones collection.

Who should try This Flavour

Anyone who likes melon, orange, watermelon or any flavours like that will enjoy this flavour. although not powerful in taste, this may be a good thing for people who do not enjoy powerful fruit flavours. anyone who does not enjoy getting a buzz from smoking shisha, this tobacco is washed and will not produce a buzz. People who hate grapefruits, such as myself, will still enjoy this flavour as it is not as bitter as a real grapefruit and is sweet.

Hookah Flavored Shisha Golden Layalina Tobacco

Hi, I’m new to smoking hookahs, well smoking my own hookah that is. I currently use a Mya QT, with a Nammor hose, either the standard Mya bowl or a MNH Hookah small phunnel bowl with scali mod. I usually don’t huge flavor in my tobacco but I do get HUGE clouds. the clouds are nice but I wish I could get more flavor. I smoked Hookah Freak atomic fire ball and it was AMAZING, but other than that I really havn’t got huge flavor bursts. Currently I am smoking Fantasia -Pink Lemonade, Strawberry Banana Split, and Blueberry. I get small flavor out of all three, but no flavor burts. More info on my typical setup. I do clean my hookah thoroughly after every smoke. I use heavy duty aluminum foil with shiny side down and tiny holes poked in a circle throughout the bowl. I use two coca nara on my mya bowl and three coca naras on my phunnel bowl and rotate after 20 minutes or so, starting on the outer edge and moving close to the middle as time goes on. I switch between ice in the bowl/ or just cold water. Occasionally I will use pink lemonade or other juices in the base. I sprinkle the shisha into my bowls to just below the rim, cover, and blow out the bottom before putting on my hookah. any help that will get me more flavor will be GREATLY appreciated. I feel like I’ve tried everything and just missing something, or a few small things. thanks for any advice

Just wanted to update you on the survey I posted about a month ago. I am keeping it open as long as people keep responding, so feel free to vote for your favs. I will post an update every once in a while. so far, here is how it stands:

#1 Starbuzz 36%
T#2 Social Smoke, Al Fakher 18% each
T#3 Fantasia, Nakhla, and Tangiers 9% each

So far no votes for Hookah Freak. Ouch!
