Afternoon rain forced cancellation of a scheduled second round of practice Friday for Saturday’s VFW 200 Camping World Truck Series race at Michigan International Speedway.

The trucks practiced in the morning, and Ron Hornaday Jr. led the session at 178.735 mph.

Rain showers between the two scheduled sessions eventually forced cancellation of the second practice.

The race is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Friday’s Sprint Cup qualifying session is expected to be held after track drying is completed.
